Because our work centers on families and children- in light of current unrest unrelated to our issues as well as other factors- we’ve made the very difficult decision to PIVOT this year’s Capitol Day to a Virtual Day of Action. This allows us to expand participation state wide and prioritize safety while continuing strong, coordinated advocacy.

Join our Virtual Action Blitz!

On Thursday, February 19, we invite you to participate in as many of the activities below as you’re able:

Option 1: Educate
Topic: The history of Health & Parental Rights in Minnesota

• Watch and share our short slideshow /video we will post
• Post key facts or takeaways
• Amplify the message across your networks

Goal: Increase awareness of the journey and current challenges facing families.

Option 2: Share Your Story
What do health and parental rights mean for your family?

• Why are you engaged?
• What are you protecting or advocating for?
• What do you want lawmakers to understand?

Post on your personal page and/or submit your story to our main page for amplification.

Goal: Center real families and lived experiences.

Option 3: Call-In & Write Blitz
Facilitate communication & relationships with your lawmakers!

• Call your representatives
• Send emails or written letters
• See examples HERE!

Goal: Demonstrate we are here and ENGAGED!

Option 4: Capitol Welcome-Back Visits (Optional)
For those with existing meetings- or who still wish to attend in person- we’ll gather to:

• Drop off welcome-back notes
• Deliver Community Update One-Pagers
• Conduct brief, positive check-ins

Goal: Maintain in-person relationships.

Follow-Up: Thank-You Week

The following week, send thank-you notes to anyone who participated - lawmakers or community members.

Goal: Show appreciation! Public service can be a thankless job and it deserves a moment of gratitude.

Together, we remain visible, constructive, and family-focused-while keeping safety first.
